How to Use E-resources from Outside of a Campus

(If you are on a campus, you don’t need to login)

There are to use GakuNin with your Microsoft 365 Account and the other way to use e-resources from outside of a campus.

About Microsoft 365 Account and GakuNin

You can user e-resources which is service providers of GakunNin from outside of a campus. You can only use submited titles by Shizuoka University.

(Caution) This service is for Shizuoka University Faculty, Student and Staff. Don’t borrow and lend your Microsoft 365 Account. For security reasons, please Log Out and Exit your web browser when you are done accessing services that require authentication.

 

 

How to use

    • Login as the following lists
    • If you are already logged in, you don’t need to enter Microsoft 365 Account/Password again for other e-resources.
    • Please Log Out and Exit your web browser when you are done accessing services that require authentication.

※If you get an access error, you may be able to gain access by deleting your browser’s cache and cookies.
※When the procedure doesn’t work, please try some different browsers too.
※If there is no login button on the page of each journal or article, please go back to the home page of the site.

ACS Publications (American Chemical Society)
  1. Click on “Access Through Your Institutions” on any journal article page.
  2. Type “Shizuoka University” in the search window labeled “Search By University or Organization”.
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password.
Cambridge Core (Cambridge University Press)
  1. Click on “Log in” at the upper right of the page and click on “Access through your institution“.
  2. Type “Shizuoka University” in the search window labeled “Search for an institution or keyword”.
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password.
CiNii (NII)
  1. Click on “Login” at the upper right of the page.
  2. select “Shizuoka University” from “Institutions” of “Institutional Login for institutions in Japan”.
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password

  1. Click on “Shibboleth Login” in the middle of the page.
  2. Select “Japanese Research and Education – Gakunin” from “Select your region or group” and select “Shizuoka Universtiy” from the list.
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password

  1. Click on “Log in” in the upper right of the page.
  2. Click on “Shibboleth” on the left side of the page.
  3. Select “Academic Access Management Federation in Japan(GakuNin)” from the list, and click on “Shizuoka University“.
  4. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password

※It takes approximately two minutes to complete authentication.

  1. Click on “InstitutioLoginal Sign In” at the upper of the page.
  2. Click on the “Shibboleth” icon and click on “Shizuoka University“.
  3. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password.

  1. Click on “Sign in” at the upper right of the page.
  2. Click on “other institution” of “sign in via your institution
  3. search and click on “Shizuoka University” (Do not sign in with Email or Username.)
  4. Enter your Microsoft 365 Account/Password

  1. Click on “Sign up/Log in” at the upper right of the page and click on “Access via your institution“.
  2. Enter”Shizuoka University” and search in “Find your institution” and click on “Shizuoka University” in the list.

  1. Click on “Log in / Register” at the upper right of the page.
  2. Click on “Institutional Login“.

  • Once you obtain your ID and password, you can use this database from outside of a campus. Contact library staff to obtain ID and password.
