The loan period and return date during the summer vacation are as follows.

In addition, due to the closing of weekends during summer vacation, we have changed the start date of extended checkout for summer vacation to July 30th.

Please notice that we will end the service which you can renew the book return deadline several times.
From August 17th, you can renew the book return deadline once as long as no hold/request has been placed.

We will change Service Hours of the library as follows:
Library open hours and services after October 1st will be decided in September.
In addition, due to the closing of weekends during summer vacation, we have changed the start date of extended checkout for summer vacation to July 30th.

Library Open Hours

All of the days: 9 am to 9 pm

Closed Stacks Hours

Shizuoka Main Library

• Application to use materials in closed stacks: 9 am to 4:45 pm on weekdays.
• Enter the closed stacks (for faculty staff and graduates): 9 am to 7:30 pm on weekdays
• Materials in the closed stacks are not available on weekend and holidays.

Hamamatsu Branch Library

• Application to use materials in closed stacks and enter the closed stacks: 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays
• Materials in the closed stacks are not available on weekend and holidays.

Restrictions on Library Services

Shizuoka Main Library

• Seats are available for 1 hour.
• Loan period will be announced later on.
• Personal booths and other facilities in the Library are not available for use.

Hamamatsu Branch Library

• Please refrain from seating for hours.
• Loan period will be announced later on.
• Personal booths and other facilities in the Library are not available for use.

ILL Services

We have resumed interlibrary loan, but it may take longer than usual or be unable to offer to your request.

National Diet Library Digital Collection service

We have resumed National Diet Library Digital Collection service (9 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm to 5 pm on weekdays). You can use it within 1 hour.

Visitors

visitors will not be able to use Shizuoka University Library for the time being.

Please notice that we will end the service which you can renew the book return deadline several times.
From August 17th, you can renew the book return deadline once as long as no hold/request has been placed.
(*If you are a graduate student or a faculty staff and you borrow books in the Hamamatsu Branch Library, you will NOT be able to renew the book return deadline.)
If you’ve already renewed the deadline at least once, you cannot renew it after August 17th.
