About APC support based on the Open Access Acceleration Project

Based on the Open Access(OA) Acceleration Project implemented by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), Shizuoka University has started supporting for the Article Processing Charge (APC) for the OA publication of articles.
There are requirements for eligible articles, so please read the following page for details carefully （internal access only）.

Enhancing the data of the National Diet Library Digital Collection and Aozora Bunko at the Shizuoka University OPAC

By using the NDL Search OAI-PMH for the National Diet Library Digital Collection and Aozora Bunko, more detailed information can now be reflected in the Shizuoka University OPAC more quickly and automatically.
National Diet Library Digital Collection
The National Diet Library Digital Collection is a service that allows patrons to browse digital materials held by the National Diet Library.
- You can search for materials (books, journals and classics) which are “Available without login” or “Available with Digitized Contents Transmission Service” on the OPAC.
- Books and classics are searched for as “eBook” and journals as “eJournal”.
- “Available without login” and “Available with Digitized Contents Transmission Service” are displayed as follows in the search results of the OPAC.
- “Available without login” : 国立国会図書館デジタルコレクション フリー
- “Available with Digitized Contents Transmission Service” : 国立国会図書館デジタルコレクション [静岡本館レファレンスカウンター・浜松分館カウンターへ(平日9:00-12:30,13:30-17:00)]
- You cannot search the full-text, doctoral dissertations etc. on the OPAC, so please search directly on the National Diet Library Digital Collections

Until now, Shizuoka University OPAC has been updating once a year using the NDL Free Data Service.
Now, by using the NDL Search OAI-PMH for books and classics, more detailed information including the table of contents of the materials will be automatically obtained within about a week after the National Diet Library’s data is updated. The results can now be reflected in the Shizuoka University OPAC.
Please note that journals will be updated once a year in principle using the NDL Free Data Service as before.
Now, by using the NDL Search OAI-PMH for books and classics, more detailed information including the table of contents of the materials will be automatically obtained within about a week after the National Diet Library’s data is updated. The results can now be reflected in the Shizuoka University OPAC.

Aozora Bunko
The Aozora Bunko is an initiative by volunteers to digitize works whose copyright protection period has expired in Japan and make them available for free on the Internet.
Bibliographic information for works included in Aozora Bunko is provided in the NDL Search OAI-PMH. the Data can now be automatically retrieved and reflected in the Shizuoka University OPAC within about a week after the National Diet Library’s data is updated. The works are searched for as “eBook”.

You can make a purchase request to the library. [for all students]
You can also try out full-page e-Books that have not yet been purchased at Shizuoka University.[for all students, faculty, staff]
