  Loan Limit for Undergraduate Students Increased to 7 Books

Effective July 30th, 2026, the loan limit for undergraduate students has officially been increased to 7 books.
In addition, the following users may borrow up to 7 books from the open shelves of the Shizuoka Main Library:

• Graduate students
• Faculty
• Staff
• Emeritus professors

• The relevant regulations have been amended to reflect the above changes.
• The trial period for the 7-book loan limit ended on July 29th, 2026.

The “Open Library” event at the Shizuoka Main Library will be held in conjunction with the Summer Open Campus.

• August 4th(Tue) – August 6th(Thu), 2026, 9:00 – 17:00
• Shizuoka Main Library

During this period, special exhibits related to academic learning and research at the Shizuoka University will be on display, and guided library tours will be offered.
If you wish to visit or observe the library, please inquire at the service counter.

• The Book Exhibition by the Student Advisory Group
• The Book Exhibition related Shizuoka University & Shizuoka Prefecture
• Guided Library Tours (Held twice daily, 11:00 – 11:30 / 13:30 – 14:00)

This exhibition on furniture and timber is presented by the Modern Industry Seminar of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and the Institute for Furniture of Local Trees and its Values.
Would you like to join us in imagining a future that connects Shizuoka’s forests, industries, and everyday lives?
When faculty members and students are present in the gallery, visitors can learn more about the exhibition from them.
