(2025/06/13)
We report the results of the “Survey on Loan Limits” conducted from December 2024 to February 2025.
(Click here for detailed results. [This page is Japanese text only.])
Outline
- We received responses from 233 people.
- The distribution of responses is as follows:
- 37% answered “The current limit is fine.”
- 35% answered “I’d like the limit to be increased.”
- 27% answered “I’m not particular about the limit.”
- The reasons to select “The current limit is fine.”
- If the loan limits increases, the possibility that the books I need will be borrowed by another user is higher.
- I’m not dissatisfied with the current situation. etc.
- The reasons to select “I’d like the limit to be increased.”
- When I want to read and compare multiple books, the current limit on the number of books is not enough.
- I would like to borrow more books during the long vacation. etc.
- The reasons to select “I’m not particular about the limit.”
- I don’t borrow up to the limit. etc.
Upcoming schedule
In this survey, responses in favor of keeping the current limit and those in favor of increasing it were nearly equal.
Therefore, starting in July, we will be conducting a trial to increase the number of books available for loan for one year. We also plan to conduct another survey during the trial period to gather further feedback before making a final decision.
About the trial
- Trial Period : July 1st, 2025 – June 30th, 2026
- Undergraduate students can borrow up to 7 books.
- The following users will be able to borrow up to 7 books from the open shelves of the Shizuoka Main Library:
